Asbestos is a general term for a group of minerals, which are made up of microscopic fibres. In the past, it was widely used in construction, as well as for other domestic and commercial purposes. Nowadays asbestos can prove to be one of the most dangerous things for a person to encounter, particularly for those in the construction industries. The removal of asbestos containing products is a high-profile problem, which needs to be performed by specialists such as Safeway Environmental, without risk or hazard to operatives, staff, building occupants and the general public. Safeway Environmental fully complies with the Health and Safety Authority’s general industry asbestos standard and the construction industry standard (see hsa.ie) and is a member of ARCA (Asbestos Removal Contractors Association).
